ASIST: Applied ******* Intervention Skills Training | Friends Meeting House | Quinta, 17. Setembro 2020

Applied ******* Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop in ******* first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of ******* and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety.
Over the course of your two-day workshop, ASIST participants learn to:

Understand the ways that personal and societal attitudes affect views on ******* and interventions

Provide guidance and ******* first aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their individual safety needs

Identify the key elements of an effective ******* safety plan and the actions required to implement it

Appreciate the value of improving and integrating ******* prevention resources in the community at large

Recognize other important aspects of ******* prevention including life-promotion and self-care

Some of the learning will take place in the whole group of participants and some in smaller workgroups. You will learn and practice a model of ******* intervention.  Your workshop trainers will be available to offer support and will work hard to create a learning atmosphere where participants can also encourage and support each other and have some fun.
