Are you looking to become better at networking? Want to connect with people who can mentor you or help guide your career forward? 
Join us for a night of learning and networking in Christchurch. You'll gain some tips and tricks from our panel of speakers who'll talk about their experiences with career angels and mentoring, and then you'll have the chance to give those new tricks a whirl.
We'll cover topics including:

The differences between a mentor and a sponsor
Becoming more comfortable at networking and mentoring events
Using LinkedIn and other social media to your advance your career


This is a joint event with the Diversity Agenda, Meridian and BECA.

The Panel
Rebecca Knott, General Manager Dam Safety Intelligence, Meridian Energy LtdRebecca is a civil engineer with 22 years’ experience in dam safety and engineering.  She recently became a Fellow of Engineering New Zealand for her leadership in the industry and is the first female chair of the NZ Society of Large Dams.
Dr Radnya Mukhedkar, Director, Electric Power Engineering Centre, UCRadnya is an electrical engineer and academic with extensive experience in the field of power systems and power electronics applications. She has over 25 publications and 5 patent ideas to her name.  Radnya also has experience as an academic mentor and coaching.
Hayley Fisher, Associate Principal, Warren & MahoneyHayley’s passion lies in the design and delivery of quality buildings which critically consider their wider context. Hayley’s project base has been predominantly in larger commercial work such as apartment buildings, offices and educational work.
Andrew Read, Managing Director, Pedersen ReadAndrew is a chartered professional electrical engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in planning, management and administration of major projects. He is a board member and the Immediate Past President of Engineering New Zealand.
Gareth Cowles, Design Manager, StantecGareth is a professional civil engineer with over 15 years’ experience in design and programme management of major infrastructure projects. Gareth has been a mentor for more than 7 years and is experienced in youth work and mentoring young people.
